Family run dairy farm with 220 acres of permanent pastureland.  Mark and Jane have two children, Charlotte and Harry and Mark's parents, Barbara and Noel also live on the farm.

 

We milk 100 Holstein Friesian cows and 40 pedigree Ayrshire cows twice a day.  We are currently rearing all the Ayrshire heifer calves who will enter the milking herd in 2 years time.  There are two Limousin bulls who father all the calves from the Holstein Friesians, then at six to eight weeks old, we sell them at Melton Market as beef calves.

 

We produce 725,000 ltrs of milk per year.  All of it is sold on contract to Clawson Dairies to be made into Stilton Cheese.
